Essential Information

Digital printing presses receive and reproduce information from a computer into a paper format. Operators are often required to operate and maintain digital presses while satisfying customer specifications.

 

Digital Press Operator Job Description

The digital print press operator uses digital printing machines and software programs to effectively create materials per client request. The press operator has numerous printing projects going at the same time and create schedules to reflect these various deadlines. In addition, the press operator may also need to play the role of a digital press repairman if maintenance on one of the machines is required.

 

Duties of a Digital Press Operator

The press operator is mainly responsible for creating the specified print material, maintaining the printing equipment and keeping inventory readily stocked. Press operators may be required to fix the printing machines that they use, which may involve either hardware or software repair, or calling in a service appointment depending upon the situation.

The digital press requires materials to be well stocked in order to operate effectively and efficiently. The operator places orders with the purchasing department to stock new ink cartridges, paper, labels or other components. The press operator uses a stock ordering schedule to keep up with work deadlines.

In the event bindery department needs help, the press operator needs to be cross trained and able to safely operate most, if not all, of the machinery within the bindery department to complete orders/tasks.

 

Qualifications

• Experience with Adobe Creative suite programs, specifically Adobe Illustrator
• 1-3 years press related experience
• Works well under pressure

• Works well in fast paced environment
• Able to lift 50 lbs+ and handle paper

The company is growing steadily, and we’re looking for a positive, self-motivated Sales Representative to join our team. Through phone, email, and face-to-face sales, this person will be responsible for hunting and closing new business for Totally Chocolate. The ideal candidate has excellent communication and customer interaction skills, proven hunting skills and demonstrates a calm and patient demeanor while handling a high volume of orders and inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Grow Totally Chocolate through relationship-focused sales of all product offerings
• Identify and qualify new opportunities with existing customers and potential prospects.
• Research and blueprint potential opportunities, and make strategic plans to approach them
• Leverage HubSpot CRM to track sales activity and the status of opportunities
• Communicate via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions with prospects
• Generate leads, build relationships, and increase brand awareness

Skill & Experience Required:

• A two-year or four-year college degree in business, marketing or related highly preferred. Direct sales experience may substitute for education requirements.
• 1-3 years’ experience in direct sales, retail sales or similar. Prior experience in the food and/or gifting industry preferred.
• Natural hunting and negotiation skills and abilities.
• Tenacious, self-starter, highly motivated mindset
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including ability to demonstrate excellent customer interaction and listening skills.
