Over the years, technology has changed the way receptionists do their jobs, and attitudes toward this crucial position have evolved for the better.
In fact, one of the motivations behind National Receptionist Day is to: “Promote pride and professionalism amongst receptionists for the important role they play within an organisation.”
As everyone knows by now, receptionists do so much more than answer phones. They serve as the central nervous system of an organisation. The job often entails organizing, scheduling, tracking, communicating, and on and on. A company relies heavily on the workings of their front desk staff for the smooth operation of their business.
